Volunteers needed to support an effort to bring free COVID-19 testing to anyone who wants it. The event is this weekend on Saturday, August 29 from 9 AM - 1 PM. (Volunteers are asked to be there at 8 AM) Testing will be done at the Public Health Building in Muskegon County (209 E. Apple).
Testing will be done by the Michigan National Guard and is free to the resident. No doctor's note or symptoms required.
Volunteers are needed for the following opportunities: traffic control (6) and registration support (2)
Traffic Control: 6 traffic control volunteers will be stationed along to drive up paths to support the flow of traffic and provide direction to residents as they drive up for testing.
Registration Support: 2 individuals are needed to assist our health workers to check cars in for testing by helping with the cleaning and sanitizing of pens and clipboards, and setting up new registration forms.
In addition, volunteers will be able to take advantage of the opportunity to get a free COVID test.
